People often ask if they should eat before workouts and this is a great question. It’s all well and good to do all the right things when it comes to fat burning exercises, however, if you’re not sensible with what and when you eat it can easily all go out the window.
You may have been told to do your early morning exercise on an empty stomach, however, this is not always the best for your fat burning metabolism. It’s far better to have a least a small meal, considering you haven’t eaten since the night before.
Even if you don’t usually like to eat so early in the morning, a banana or fruit smoothie is far better than having nothing in your stomach. Eating a light meal before working out then having a more substantial breakfast including unrefined carbohydrates, within two hours of completing your exercise is the most sensible way to go.
Also remember to keep well hydrated by drinking plenty of water on arising as well as during and after your exercise.
