As already mentioned, the benefits of using a skipping rope are many. It’s an excellent fat burning exercise for increasing your cardiovascular fitness, great for toning muscles, is cheap and easy to do anywhere and is great for losing weight.
15 Minute Skipping Workout
- Warm up for three minutes with light skipping
- Fast skipping for one minute, jumping with both feet
- Fifteen abdominal crunches
- Fast skipping for one minute, with a running step
- Fifteen push ups, either on your toes or your knees, depending on your strength
- Fast skipping for one minute with alternate feet touching the ground
- Fifteen reverse curls
- Fast skipping from side to side for one minute
- Fifteen tricep dips
- Fast skipping for one minute, choosing whichever skipping style you prefer
- Eight oblique crunches on each side
- Stretch for two minutes
Try to rest as little as possible between each exercise. You may find this difficult to begin with, but persevere and your fitness levels will noticeably increase over time.
It’s hard to go past this fat burning exercise workout if you’re pushed for time. The benefits are many and everyone can find 15 minutes a day to exercise.
