Morning exercise has a number of advantages over exercising at other times of the day.

Making morning exercise part of your daily routine sets you up for the day and puts you in a great frame of mind. Your metabolism gets a great boost from morning exercise, you begin your day more alert, and it can even make you more productive.

Even though you may have good intentions to exercise after work or in your lunch hour, there are often distractions that take priority. If you exercise in the morning however, you’ve got it out the way.

By making it a daily habit to get out of bed and exercise straight away, you are much more likely to stick to this regimen and you’ll be more consistent with your exercising. Consistency is the key to a healthy lifestyle.

Another advantage of morning exercise, is if you get to the gym nice and early, you’ll often beat the mad rush. There’s nothing worse than having to wait for equipment so early morning workouts can avoid this situation.

While physically there may not be much difference what time of the day you exercise, the above reasons are certainly enough to seriously consider making morning exercise your new discipline.
