Listed below are some great fat burning foods recipes for those in between times, when you don’t need a meal sized portion, just a healthy snack to keep you going.
Fruit and nut mix
- 3 strawberries, washed and chopped
- 10 blueberries
- 1 Tbsp sunflower seeds
- 1 Tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 10 almonds
- 2 Tbsp low fat ricotta
- 2 Tbsp low fat yoghurt
Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.
Green Berry Smoothie
- 1 cup berries (choose one or a mixture of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries or blackberries)
- 2 cups low fat or soy milk
- 2 Tbsp powdered spirulina
- 1 Tbsp low fat yoghurt
Place all ingredients in a blender and mix well.
Creamy apples
- 1 apple, grated
- 2 cups low fat cottage cheese
- 1 Tbsp LSA
Mix all ingredients for a speedy and nutritional snack.
Tuna delight
- 95 g tinned tuna
- 2 Tbsp low fat ricotta
- 1 stick celery, chopped
- 1 Tbsp sunflower seeds
Add all ingredients together in a bowl and mix well.
Egg mayonnaise
- 2 eggs, hard boiled
- 1 Tbsp low fat mayonnaise
- 1 Tbsp parsley, chopped
- 1 Tbsp chives, chopped
- Ground pepper
Chop the boiled eggs and mix in a bowl with the mayonnaise, herbs and ground pepper to taste. You can have this on it’s own or make a sandwich using rye bread.
