One of the best leg toning exercise workouts you can do is the alternating dumbbell lunge. This exercise works the glutes as well as the the quads, hamstrings and calves so is a great overall leg toning exercise.
You’ll need a set of dumbbells at an appropriate weight for you. If you’re new to weight training or even a bit rusty, perform this exercise without any dumbbells until you build up enough strength.
Start off by performing two sets of 12 repetitions on each side, and build this up to three sets as you get fitter. Keep increasing the dumbbell weight over time to challenge yourself.
Make sure you stretch well after this exercise.
